Closing an account
What happens to a company's data, keys and webhooks when its Texa Desk account closes.
A company asks Texa to close its account through support (the chat at texadesk.com, or [email protected]).
On the day it closes
- Texa AI goes off on every inbox, and running campaigns stop.
- API keys, site keys and webhook endpoints are revoked: requests answer
401, and nothing more is sent to your servers. - The company's administrators get an email with the date its data will be deleted, and how to undo it.
Fourteen days later
Unless Texa reopens the account in those 14 days at the company's request, its data is deleted: conversations, contacts, files, Texa AI's memory of its customers, and the account's settings. Backups age out within the following 14 days.
Kept, because the law asks:
- payment records for six years (tax law);
- complaint records, without the customers' details, for the regulator's period.
Before you close
Export what you need: conversations through the Texa Desk API or Texa Desk's own exports, the complaints register through the Tickets API, and the event feed of your Texa API conversations.
