# Platform API

Accounts, people and agent bots across a whole Texa Desk installation. Dedicated instances only.

    The Platform API manages a whole installation. On Texa's shared hosting it isn't open to
    companies; it is there on a [dedicated instance](/hosting/dedicated), whose super admin makes
    platform apps.

A **platform app**'s token goes in the `api_access_token` header. A platform app reaches only the
accounts, people and agent bots it created (or was given), so an outside system that provisions
accounts can't touch the others.

Use it to create an account and its first administrator from your own sign-up, or to give someone a
single sign-on link (`GET /platform/api/v1/users/{id}/login`).
